Not if the counterjumper at the camera store tells them that spotmetering is what Real Photographers do, and that a camera without a spotmeter is junk.
Just look at the wristwatches worn by average teenage boys, and then tell me that in a couple of years time they'll want strong but stylish and understated cameras.
