I'm not going to jump ship because I'm not in the market for a DSLR. However, I believe many will jump ship instead of buying the *ist D. When people realize that they have to buy new lenses anyway to get real advantage of this camera, they will think twice of making that commitment to Pentax. After all, theres nothing particularly Pentaxy in this camera and Nikon and Canon offer better upgrade prospects and IS and USM as well and better lens selection. The day I buy a DSLR Pentax better have something better than the *ist D. They have to give me a good reason for buying a Pentax DSLR instead of another brand. I fear that only selling point for the *ist D is the small size and the K-mount; neither will be strong selling points in my experience. P�l
