Cory< my opinion. you are using Kodak paper in an Epson printer. i suggest you start with Epson 5x7 Premium Glossy Paper, make sure that the settings are right for it, and then see where you get. also, matte paper uses a lot more ink than glossy paper. my personal experience with Kodak papers is that i never get the color, detail, or resolution that any of the Epson papers deliver. high end has nothing to do with it. the paper is made for generic inkjet printers. i won't use any paper that is not designed for Epson printers. there are several third party paper manufacturers that do so.
