Pentax opened the specification of K-mount when they
indroduced it in 1975. Some manufacturers, included
Ricoh and Cosina, produced bodies and lenses in K-mount.
Seagull also produced K-mount bodies and lenses if I
remember correctly.
Sears and Vivitar had/have their own K-mount bodies,
which, I suppose, are OEM bodies from Cosina or so.
Pentax didn't open the specification of K[A]-mount.
So there's no compatible bodies to it.
BTW, I have two Ricoh XR-8 super bodies, sold as
KR-5 III in US market, which is still available in
Japan. I like them very much.
Hope this helps.
