Hi, Nick   Good to be back - and thanks for the suggestion.  Strangely enough, though, it didn't work. The files had the same modification date but I overwrote it anyway.   So how is it that a dll in the Reader 6 directory still tells IE6 to use Acrobat 5?  In the immortal words of Marvin the Martian: "Drat these computers - they're so naughty and complex...
