Title: Acrobat 5.0-->Can't lock forms without type disappearing
Here’s my situation
We’ve created a PDF in Acrobat 5.0 with multiple fillable fields for a client. They would then like to customize a couple of these fields and lock them before passing on to their sales force (so they can’t change program offers that are only approved by marketing). However, there are a couple fields that need to be customizable by each sales rep.
Our attempted solution
The process we’ve tried so far (which we think should work) is as follows:
-Customize the type in the field.
-Open the Field Properties window.
-On the Appearance tab click ‘Read Only’.
-Click ‘OK’.
This locks the field but makes the type disappear. Is there a better way to customize a field and then lock it? Keep in mind that a couple fields need to be customizable and the others need to be UNeditable.
Can anybody help?
Thanks,
