Deborah;   As the Director of Sales for an acrobat competitor I assure you they are just trying to get you to upgrade. Furthermore, they will not provide any functionality that will allow your clients to electronically fill such a form in the browser and save it.   My company and a few others allow this functionality so your client can save the filled in form electronically. I've tried the Adobe customer service line, & searched the archives here, but would really like a definitive answer, if someone has a moment to spare. We're planning to build a user compliance form for online delivery. This form will simply require users to: 1. read the policy in PDF format 2. fill in their name & the date at the bottom of the form 3. print out the form & add their signature for return to HR. According to Adobe, I need to purchase Acrobat 6 Professional in order to build a form. But our organisation already has a limited license for Acrobat 5, & this version seems capable of adding form fields to a PDF file (from what I've seen over someone's shoulder). Do I really need to make a new purchase? (And if not, why is Adobe telling me I do ... ?) Many thanks!
