Leonard,However, (and this is the killer) while that field is set to allow RTF, the page cannot be printed, whether there's any bold text in it or not.
I can't verify this on either my TiBook or my WinXP machine, both running Acro6 Pro.
I created a new PDF, added a large RTF text field. Typed in some text. Styled it printed. No problems.
Thanks for the feedback. The field in question was created in 5.05, opened in 6.0, modified to RTF. Printing wouldn't work.
Opened in 6.0, changed field to plain text, still wouldn't print. Cut text from field, changed fields, switched back to the text field and pasted the same text back in. Now it'll print out of 6.0.
One other anomaly I've noticed. I keep this form (5.05 version) locked against accidental modification so that when an appraiser opens it, he <must> save it under a new file name. When I saved this doc under its new filename, the filename does not appear in the window title bar, as it normally would. Just the Acrobat icon appears. I've extracted pages from the form, saved them, and they open with the filename displayed. I'm beginning to believe the master doc is corrupted in some way. Which is o.k.; that thing's a turkey anyway, and I need to re-do it. Acro6's debugger helped me find a BUNCH of needlessly duplicated calculation scripts which are slowing down the form unnecessarily.
When you created your text field and typed formatted text into it, did the text disappear when you changed focus?
