Prior to a couple of weeks ago, the only time a program would
be loaded from the hard drive was the first time I loaded it
after a boot or after doing something that required a lot of
memory. I could close the program and reopen it many times
and there would be no activity from the hard drive. I could
do this with several programs, Internet Explorer, Eudora, etc.

Now, everytime I open a program it goes to the hard drive to
load it. The only exception is if I close a program and
reopen it within a few seconds.

I don't remember making any changes (yes, I know, famous last
words). I check performance and I have 92 percent free.

It's driving me crazy!

Anyone have suggestions what changed?

Windows 98 SE.
128 MB of memory.

Thanks,

Tom
