Apples and oranges here. Hotmail is an online web mail service. You have
to sign up for the service with a user name and password, and an email
address. Messenger is part of the Netscape package, and is a real email
reader. It will collect email from any POP server or intranet, using the
user name and password that your work clients have chosen/been assigned, as
long as Messenger is configured for it. 2 totally different things.

If a person wants to collect email from any computer in any location, they
can get a Hotmail address and access it from any browser. However, the
sender has to _send_ to that address. They could not collect "intranet"
mail using Hotmail. Hotmail is NOT an email reader for anything but itself.

There are other web mail services that you can get addresses for also.
Hotmail is just one of them. I understand that one CAN configure OE to
pick up Hotmail messages (they're owned by the same company).
