Sounds like you hid some drives with TweakUI, Harold. That causes Open and Explore to be grayed out when you right click on the Start button. Open TweakUI and show those drives again and the problem should be solved.

Windows98 When right-clicking the Start menu, I get a "Find" and a "Scan for v*ruses" (that's good, though I never use it) . however; the "Explore" and "Open" (which are important to me) are grayed out. I've never seen this happen before. Now what I had done when reinstalling the system was (after everything was installed), delete all the shortcuts in the Start Menu folder (found in the Windows directory) and copy into that Start Menu folder, from my backup, the shortcuts that I keep organized to my liking. I don't think this is related as I've done it many times before with no problems showing up. Question: What might have happened and how do I reinvigorate the Explore and Open lines in the right-click of the Start button and get them to be grayed IN instead of grayed out? Don't tell me to reinstall the system as that is what I just did; that's how I got the "Exploring" window to work properly again (remember?).
