I have ordered myself a Christmas present from Dell (dude): a P4 2.8 with a DVD-RW in it. I want to start putting my 18 years of fading family analog video tapes onto DVD's for longevity and convienence. I'm not sure what software the Dell Dimension 4550 comes with, but I want to get up to speed on things before it arrives (probably right after the 25th) so I can start playing during my holiday time off (from work).
Is anyone else on the list DVD'ing their analog video? Tips? Pointers? Sites with lots of good dummy-type information? Also, the computer will arrive with only the DVD-RW drive. I was thinking of throwing in an inexpensive DVD reader drive for DVD copies. Not commercial stuff. Just DVD's I create or DVD backup disks. Will that work (copying DVD to DVD)?? ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
