My issue with the large groups is I don't get onto usenet often enough to expire article after a few days. Real life. :)

For standard searched nzb downloads, I don't use Pan anymore, due to obfuscation for many of files I search for.. A future feature request for pan? Of course, this is also the issue with millions of posts suddenly showing up in a group that was low traffic before.

As for changing config files and that, I can figure most of them out. I will be looking at the cache settings and the possible corrupt files that you point out. I have lots of free ram on this system and maybe that is what I need to look at.

Some servers have years of headers that are if interest and that is a large number and download bandwidth to lose on a crash. It is frustrating, hence my question.

It just took many minutes to open pan on my computer. Now to figure out where all the config files are. I will have to look at the cache and config files. Not sure about your comment about "wrappers."
