For last few versions (including 0.147) pan crashes (on

Did you compile pan yourself?
no
Is pan compiled with gtk2 or gtk3 ?
Maybe GTK2, but I don't know.
What's your window manager ?
X/KDE
Could you provide a backtrace ?
How do I do that again?

Alternatively, maybe I could try compiling pan again, with GTK3.  I didn't work on a previous version.
Will pan be
updated to use newer GTK so it stops crashing?
First we need to get rid of gmime2, fix gtk3 usage, get rid of gtk2, then we
may think of gtk4. This won't happen soon unless we get more help.
It's possible it was something else, like last year or few, after I had added foreign unicode to my killfile, pan always crashed,  I removed the killfile and it worked again.  I still don't have a killfile again though, so that's not it.

All the best
