FWIW, white on black, here (with gtk2), which is what my other text 
setting is.  But as I said, quote colors (and sig colors) don't work now 
-- it's ALL other-text-setting.

*EXCEPT* URL color works, when there's a link/email-address in the 
message.  I'd guess that a coder could use that as a hint to see what pan 
is doing differently with its url-color processing than it does with 
quote- and sig-colors, and thus come up with a patch to fix the problem.  
However, I'm not a coder...

Is that what you're seeing?  It reads like that's what you're saying, but 
it's not quite clear.
