Hi, It might help to adjust sysctl(8) parms, particularly the sendspace and recvspace values. This might require raising the kernel’s maxsockbuf value, too, which probably can only be done during early boot single–user phase (c.f. /etc/sysctl.conf). At least that’s what I do on MacOSX and other *BSD type systems. But please research this before messing with these tweaks, and be aware that there are as many suggestions as there are belly–buttons in this world. ;)
