Ahah, I believe I found out why pan 0.126 won't
compile on my system.  Source file header-pane.cc uses
"gtk_tree_view_get_visible_range()", which was
introduced into gtk at version 2.8; however, I'm
running gtk 2.6.10.

pan's system requirements page still shows the minimum
version as gtk 2.4 -- has this changed?  And if it
has, can anyone recommend a way to get gtk 2.8
installed on OS X?  I use fink, and 2.6 is the most
current version they offer.
