For reference tho, sometimes getting a disconnect is as easy as yanking
your Ethernet cable (or phone cord, for those still on dialup, or
deactivating your wireless, or...). =8^) Whether or not that would
trigger this particular problem, however, I'm not sure.
Well, I had PAN disappear on me overnight. I don't know what happened.
KTorrent also disappeared on me overnight. I nuked the .pan2 directory, and
started from scratch. I wonder if there's an upper limit on how many "tasks"
you can have at a given time, since I was able to have about 350 or so tasks
this afternoon and yesterday I had over 500 and it wouldn't download. *shrug*
No, there's no limit on how many tasks you can have in Pan.
I've had thousands, and have fixed bugs for users having
hundreds of thousands of tasks. :)
IMO you should enable core files or, when running Pan overnight,
run it in gdb so that you can get a backtrace.
