I'm maintaining a small XMPP and e-mail server for my family with ~15 accounts. Several months ago I started to get spam messages to my XMPP account: 1. Accounts from foreign servers wanting to subscribe to my account. When asking back who they actually are, I never get replies. 2. Accounts from foreign servers sending a single message to my XMPP account. The text is often in russian, sometimes english, and contain a link to some XMPP spam service explanation page. I could cope/ignore those messages since they stopped after two weeks. But a new spam wave seems to have started, and this time not only myself but another user of my server gets that spam. Since that person in question is older and just does not want to deal with spam, I'm looking for options. I already try to contact the administrators of the servers and ask them to block that spam accounts, but that is time-consuming. And it does not prevent my family members to get this spam.
