Hello,

I am the owner of a member-only group, what's in the group is really not
secret or important. But I choose to be a member-only group because
maybe we want to remove somebody who's not friendly, and we don't want
spam or strangers in the group.

I like privacy but for us encryption is really not needed. And there are
many people in the group with many different types of
client-applications. And from many different XMPP-servers.

Some of the clients cannot do OMEMO for groups. Today somebody joined
and nobody could post anymore because there was a problem with his OMEMO
key...

What I would like is to turn off OMEMO for the group as an admin.
And I don't like it when all messages are red (danger! , unencrypted!),
or when people have to turn off OMEMO themself.

What I have heard often is to change "present real Jabber ID" to
"moderators only" (in Gajim). But when I try to post something as a
normal user the default is still OMEMO.

Not sure what to do...

With regards,
Paul
