It should be 'identify'. Regardless, it seems most likely that you have hardware issues and should run a memory tester and any other hardware tests available. It is useful to provoke the issue in some other way.
LCMS (LittleCMS) may now use assembly code, or advanced instructions while using a color profile. If Illumos has a sensitivity to this, then that could be a cause. This would be a very unusual problem (and a security issue).
