For quite a long time, I cannot anymore use gimp on openindiana:
apparently recent versions(2.1) on openindiana cannot load files in
common image formats such as jpg or png
When I try, I get a message window saying (sorry, in French):
Le greffon s’est arrêté brutalement : « file-png »
(/usr/lib/amd64/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-png/file-png)
Le greffon a peut-être endommagé l’état interne de GIMP. Vous devriez
enregistrer vos images et redémarrer GIMP pour être certain de sa stabilité.
L’ouverture de « /home/ml/Desktop/CIML_r.png » a échoué : La procédure
« file-png-load » n’a renvoyé aucune valeur.
I hoped that it would be solved but apparently it did not.
Did anybody else suffer of this problem ? Is there a workaround (other
than starting a windows machine where gimp works)
