Hi Martin

gcc-47 is in state Obsolete. It basicly does not exist anymore.

In pkg info -r you can see:
> State: Not installed (Obsolete)

The Obsolete State was introduced to cleanly remove all files related to that package from the system.

In order to do this, package metadata is conserved but the files on the server are not.

If you have more questions about IPS just ask.

Neutrally speaking it simply added too much complexity into very much yet not
all that over-complicated matters.
And its Sun-design deals with software as if things like binary backwards
compatibility never existed (and by doing so creates multitudes of extra
payloads and restrictions)..

But let's try to make the best out of it :)
Anyway, in my naive view it looks like a bug that the status of installed packages is
represented as "Not installed".

But perhaps really my error.
Perhaps the wrong publisher?
