I do not understand well,
on openindiana you can install a pkg by doing :
you have to change folder (cd) to the folder you have downloaded the pkg,
pkgadd -d ./localfile.pkg

How do i install a locally downloaded pkg file?
I have read 3 forums and wiki's and ended up with several local pkg servers,
but none of them provides my downloaded pkg file.
I just want that good old "pkg add -d localfile.pkg" back ;-(
If it aint broken don't fix it , should be in the first page of every
developer
