The call site now fails early: I derive `val uid = uidOpt.getOrElse(throw
new IllegalArgumentException(...))` before calling `insertNewExecution`, so a
`None` uid raises immediately with a clear message instead of passing `orNull`
and letting the DB reject the insert.
