## Background ShenYu still ships `shenyu-plugin-hystrix` and its starter in the default bootstrap. The module uses Hystrix `1.5.18`, whose upstream project is in maintenance mode and states that no new releases, issue reviews, or PR merges are planned. Upstream recommends Resilience4j for new applications. This migration should preserve a compatibility path for existing users while removing an end-of-life implementation from the main repository. It must be presented as a deprecated legacy plugin, not as a recommended fault-tolerance option. Depends on #7294. ## Scope ### plugin-store - Add the Hystrix runtime plugin and Spring Boot starter under a clearly documented legacy/deprecated section. - Port all existing unit tests and the latest shared NPE/config-handling fixes. - Add tests for thread and semaphore isolation, timeout, fallback, circuit opening, rule updates, metrics cleanup, and executor/thread-pool shutdown. - Add an E2E case that proves success, timeout/fallback, circuit-breaker behavior, and dynamic rule refresh against a deliberately slow/failing upstream. - Document the final upstream version, known limitations, supported ShenYu versions, and migration guidance to Resilience4j. ### apache/shenyu - Remove Hystrix plugin/starter/default-bootstrap dependencies only after the external artifact is released and verified. - Move Hystrix-specific active configuration/DTO ownership out of core where required by the external-plugin contract. - Keep historical database upgrade SQL; update current seed data, menus, docs, examples, metrics references, LICENSE/NOTICE, and distribution packaging. - Add release notes and a configuration mapping guide from Hystrix to Resilience4j. ## Acceptance Criteria - [ ] The plugin-store artifact preserves existing Hystrix configuration semantics for the supported compatibility line. - [ ] Unit tests cover isolation, timeout, fallback, circuit state, config refresh, and cleanup. - [ ] E2E verifies timeout/fallback and circuit behavior with a real gateway. - [ ] Documentation prominently marks the plugin deprecated and recommends Resilience4j. - [ ] Existing users have a tested migration guide. - [ ] Main-repository removal happens only after the external artifact is available. - [ ] No Hystrix dependency remains in the default ShenYu distribution. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
