Pierre Smits commented on OFBIZ-13256:
--------------------------------------

Isn't this available with the implementation/registration of a different
Calendar for workers? On that factor in these exceptions, similar to designated
days off (like Sundays, holidays, etc)?

IMO, adjustment of functionality for a one-fits-all Calendar for both 24/7
tasks for equipment and workers with breaks and days off doesn't seem to fit
the bill.

>
> Apache OFBiz currently lacks support for defining multiple shifts with custom
> break schedules within a production day. This forces planners to treat the
> entire day as a single block, leading to inaccurate capacity planning.
> Without shift-wise tracking, teams must rely on external tools to avoid
> overloading some shifts while underutilizing others. The system should
> support:
> Defining multiple shifts with break intervals
> Assigning and monitoring capacity per shift
> This will align Apache OFBiz planning with real-world shop floor operations.
