I've used Remmina to connect from my Debian based machines to my Windows machines at home. However, the Win10 machines I have are Windows 10 Pro, and I do not believe you can use RDP to connect to a machine running Windows 10 Home. If you are able to go into the Windows 10 pro machine and get into the Control Panel, then allow remote access from within and disable NLA, you should then be able to remote into the Windows 10 pro machine using its IP address if they are both on the same LAN. Note: you will need to use a user account that has remote access. You can set this up in Computer Management, select Users & Groups, then add the account you want to use in the "Remote Desktop Users" group.
I hope that helps. If it's the case that I misunderstood your question, or if I've got the right direction but need to clarify something, feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to help if I can.
