Yes, it's tempting to just run Windows within Linux rather than dual-boot, and I might do that in the future. But for me... for now... the quickest route seems to be the one with the least learning curve and that's to do the previously-stated "plan." However... once I've got a Win7 install and don't have to worry about that over-writing my Linux install in the future... I could still go the VM route later, then wipe the previous NTFS partition and use it for other things.... right?
