This is a good feature IF you have software that is actively monitoring the
SMART data of your drives, sending out alerts/emails AND someone is paying
attention to those alerts/emails.

I believe that most people are lazy and won't actually install software to
monitor their drive health, so buying drives that have a lower failure rate
is a better option for the lazy people who just want a reliable drive (like
me.)

I'm a big fan of HGST drives and not so much of Seagate or Western Digital.
