A hugely relevant stat, one that I consider at least as helpful as the overall drive failure rate, is the observation that the Seagate drives are more reliable in predicting their failure via SMART status. This means we can use the prediction to know when to purchase new drives and migrate data, prior to drive failure.
This is especially important when you use rotational drives to backup your production servers. Knowing the backups are about to fail, before they fail, is quite helpful to prevent a cascade failure in your backup schema.
