The guy is hopeful in tone. What I think might be interesting here is possibly the way he attempt to use a single issue campaign as a pivot for other political questions. There are some, seemingly false premises there - eg hinting at racial equality via more egalitarian electoral process. however, by positioning the electoral finance question as an element that can alter many other progressive concerns, seems an interesting way to galvanise serious, nation-wide, support - while still keeping an essentially single issue campaign..
