All this makes sense to me. Hamas is not Gaza is not Hamas, even Netanyahu
is not Israel is not Netanyahu.
Targeted wars leave destruction in their wake; I'm reading the full version
of Karl Kraus' The Last Days of Mankind, a play around 600 pages long
(which he read over 10 long nights) - there is always a 'wake' (in the
sense of a wake behind a boat) that spreads from what may be close to
singularities, sweeping up everything else, dragging
propaganda/hyperbole/verbal violence - violence , along with it .
What is inconceivably conceivable is our discussion apart from this area
which covers less than central London, all of it, all of Gaza. And a
population held there, captive. (What will most likely spread - the West
Bank.)
And we discuss. And this is what we do.
And not just there - there is other local and not so local violence
elsewhere.
(A problem - the violence against Ukraine, less visible now.)
I fear "our" upcoming election next year in the US. There will be more to
come.
It is good we discuss this, here, and elsewhere, when we can. It is very
good.
Best, Alan, thank you everyone of course
