You should ask NAI and friends this question. After all, for most
of the world's MUAs, NAI's plugins will be the thing which
determines PGP/MIME compliance.

Just Mutt and PGP on a system are fine. The rest is (mostly)
mailcap files, which you can store on your own user account.
Then again, you may wish to spend a thought or two on the question
whether or not you want to store your private key on a certain
system.
