Dawn was long gone. IO is gone. dunno about Rudman or Robin. The project <http://www.mozilla.org/docs/mdp/> needs new baby sitters.
I've seen the email rudman(at)mozilla.org around bugzilla, so he might still be around. I tried sending an email to that address and it bounced back, so not sure. I'm pretty sure that robin is gone.
IO said to me that he'd announce himself leaving Documentation but I guess he never got the time.
nominating Neil Marshall <neil.marshall at sympatico.ca> and R.J. Keller <rlk at trfenv.com> as new project leaders. Also proposing that they be permenant staff members at Mozilla Foundation.
sure, I'll be willing to be the head of Documentation. I have CVS access to the website so I could change it when the time becomes appropriate. There's also some of the members of the Firebird Help project (http://firebirdhelp.mozdev.org) might be interested.
I doubt I'd be able to be on mozilla.org staff since I can't even get CVS access ;). I'm also not a module owner.
Also proposing some sort of coordination with mozfr and MozillaPL, two most active language projects.
yeah, that would be a good idea since they should have just as big of a part in Documentation as we do. I'd also like to get someone to translate Firebird Help.
someone please forward this msg to the appropriate moz.org contacts
Daniel, you can forward this to Asa or someone else on mozilla.org staff if you wish.
A good first step would be to see who's still contributing and who isn't. We also need to see what components owners need to be moved to someone else. I already got Browser:Help from IO, so all that's left is the Documentation area (which still has bugs assigned to IO that need to be moved).
BTW, jag also said that he's thinking of moving Browser:Help into it's own module. We might want to handle documentation from within that module since they are connected (other than the website docs).
