I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but in Sun and Netscape DS, the userCertificate;binary attribute is used to store the user's email certificate. Usually the entity that generates the certificate will also have the capability to publish it to the user's entry (Netscape CMS can do this). If you get your user certs some other way, then I'm not sure how they get published to the user's entry in the directory.
thats correct and works in our environment for M$-Outlook, but the Mozilla-mailclient ignores to fetch the userCertificate.
Do you have any idea how this could be managed?
Thanx for your help Peter

Hi @all,
in my environment we would like to store emailcertificates in an LDAP-server corresponding to the email-address. With mozilla as an LDAP-client i wasnt able to ask the directory server for an emailaddress and the responsible emailcertificate.
Is it possible to get the certifcate from the LDAP-server into the mozilla email-client? If not is it planned in the future to enable this?
Thanx for your help
