Sometimes you can get a lot of info talking to the child and her family. If it is on and off, maybe there is something interfering with her ability to concentrate. Is she getting enough to eat? Are there sleeping problems? As you are diagnosing... Look at the WHOLE child. Sometimes the problem has more than one cause...
