This has come up in a few bugs, but I don't think an official policy has ever been communicated.
Use underscores when formatting telemetry extras, e.g. "site_settings", not "site-settings" or "siteSettings". At this point we have a mish-mash in the tree, and I'm not sure if it's worth trying to clean it up, but let's at least be consistent going forward. Margaret
