The current metrics we get from iTunes Connect show that all active 8.x
installs combined are about 2.7%

Taking the following into account:

• Devices that can run iOS 8 can also run 9
• Apple will announce iOS 10 next month and most likely release it in
September, at which point iOS 8 will be 2 years old
• Our code, messaging and documentation has a number of complications because
some things don’t work/exist on iOS 8

I want to propose that we drop support for iOS 8 for Firefox 7.0, which will
coincide with the release of iOS 10 in September.

Thoughts?

 S.
