The Malta Linux User Group has been in existence for some time now and I
think it's about time we had a proper committee. Frankly, it's not
progressed much beyond a website and mailing list, and it could be much
more than that. However I can't do it alone - besides I'm often quite
busy at work and don't have much time left over.

I'd like to start a discussion about what direction the MLUG should take
in future, and hopefully on to plans for a proper committee. Here are
some ideas to kick around:

Meetings and other activities, meaning real ones not from behind the
keyboards.
Seminars/lectures about computer topics such as security, networking
etc., specifically about Linux.
Raising public awareness in the media about Linux and other OSS.
Install-fest - people can bring in their computer and have it installed
with Linux.
Lobbying for adoption of OSS in the government.
