(Conexant CX20561) If it is the same beep we are thinking about, i would especially miss the notification of new messages in mcabber/irssi under xterm. The way it is now works for me, but apparently not for every azalia. Please don't remove beep on all azalia.(If that is what you are asking.) - Robert
