Whilst transparency is a good thing, and the project is known for its
open stance, surely in this particular case it would be imprudent for us
to comment further until the parties directly involved have resolved
things? Perhaps the matter will be resolved, and relations between kd85
and OpenBSD will return to their once rosy state. Perhaps negotiations
will break down, and another reseller will be sought. Perhaps legal
proceedings will occur in some form. All are possible. Nothing we can
say or do can possibly improve matters, and indeed could well do harm.

Whilst openness is always to be encouraged, sometimes discretion is
necessary, especially in matters of business disputes. I do not doubt
that once things have been resolved one way or another, there will be a
report for those who care, by those who are in a position to provide
authoritative answers. In the meantime, it is down to us to be patient,
mature and understanding, and allow those involved to resolve things
without us breathing down their necks.

I am no developer, no distributor, just a happy user from Britain who
hopes he will see his already-paid-for 4.5 set some time soon. My hope,
for what its worth, is that we let this thread die until someone with
the facts can properly draw a line under it.

Peace.
