I succesfully loaded the cd40.iso kernel on my machine. I configured
everything but I bypassed the step "configuring a network" b/c I don't have
an internet connection yet. In order to complete the install, the manual
says I need to load file sets base41.tgz, etc41.tgz, and bsd, but the
cd40.iso does not have these file sets. So I tried loading the file sets
via a separate cd but the kernel doesn't recognize file sets (pathname
defaults to 4.0/i386).
Then I try booting the cdrom40.fs which supposedly has all the files
included. But I get a Caldera Dos 7.0 prompt. I don't know what to do from
here... I will buy the official cd's b/c I want to support the project and
make life easier, but I still would like to know what I'm doing wrong? Any
help appreciated.
