Thank you for the revert.

I upgraded to the latest amd64 snapshot:

OpenBSD 8.0-current GENERIC.MP#102
Thu Oct 15 10:33:13 MDT 2026

httpd now starts successfully, and rcctl ls failed reports no failed services.

The startup issue appears to be resolved.

Thanks again!

Hello,

After upgrading to the October 15, 2026 amd64 snapshot, httpd
fails to start when a server configuration contains a redirect
using "block return".

System:
OpenBSD 8.0-current GENERIC.MP#101 amd64
Kernel built Wed Oct 14 22:49:07 MDT 2026

Minimal reproducer:

server "example.test" {
     listen on localhost port 18081
     block return 301 "https://example.test/";
}

The configuration passes httpd -n, but httpd -d -v
terminates with:

fatal in server: config_getserver: imsg_get_data
fatal in logger: config_getserver: imsg_get_data

This should be fixed with my last revert commit from today. It's not
related to header syntax. Please checkout your source tree and rebuild
httpd or wait until the next snapshot is available.
