I have installed OpenBSD on a Lenovo X390, and I am very happy with the process so far. I would like to have terminal based programs like btop display the correct box characters, and in my investigations so far, I have seen a couple of comments:

- Change the terminal type from vt220 to pccon0 in /etc/ttys
- "You need to recompile the kernel"...

I have tried changing the terminal type, but it seems I need to do more to achieve what I want as this didn't seem to work (after a reboot). The FAQ gives instructions for VGA driven devices, but states that the methods shared will not work with newer devices using the drm driver.

Where would I find official documentation which would help me understand what I need to do to resolve this? I do understand that once I put a window manager on the machine, I will have no issues in the graphical terminal emulators used there but I feel this should be changeable for the basic terminals as well.

Many thanks!
Paul
