I'm in a high-desert area that seems to foster alot of dust and lint. I took the mouse apart and used a plastic safe electrical contact cleaner that I bought way back when Radio Shack was still a thing. You can probably find some on ebay, an auto parts store. Mouse has been working accurately for over a month since the cleaning. I've also had really good luck with perixx wired mice. They're <$10USD and can be bought directly for their online store - no middle men. -- J. Scott Heppler
