Hello,

There hasn't been a message for months on this list so I thought it
could be a good idea to show some signs of life.

As usual, work is keeping me very busy but I have been able to do some
occasional coding.

I decided to start using Git for development, and the latest work in
progress can now be found at Github:
http://github.com/magnush/mhwaveedit/tree/master

I'll still be using the other facilities at Gna; this mailing list, the
bug/support tracker, the download area for releases etc.

My major plan for the next release is to add a PulseAudio sound driver,
since that is becoming quite popular nowadays.

Right now I'm working with building support for sound drivers that are
event driven instead of periodically polling, which is something I've
been planning to do for a long time and it's required for PulseAudio. I
have been able to change the Alsa driver to use this new support, and
got the CPU usage when playing a sound clip down from 7-8% to less than
1% on my computer. I haven't committed this into the public Git tree
yet.

Regards,
Magnus
