Hi Magnus: I keep forgetting to report this, it's really kind of a minor thing.
mhwaveedit seems to have trouble opening files passed in from either the bash shell, or from nautilus that have spaces (and possibly other characters) as part of their file names or directory path. This happens even if the file name is escaped, or quoted. This creates problems opening files on Windows volumes in common directories like My Documents, or many common kinds of wav files, like those created by iPod recording adapters and some automated recording programs. They all use a date stamp with a space in it as the name portion of the .wav file name. This of course, is a perfectly valid thing to do. Most gnome programs have no trouble with such paths, but many older programs (like nedit) seem to share the problem. I'm sorry I don't have up-to-date source in front of me, or I'd look into actually fixing the bug, but I'm pretty sure it's just a simple oversight. Oh yes, and my wish list (dream on) still include someday having enough markers and having them saved in a form that could be retrieved by a program wishing to massage them into a toc file for CD burning.... thanks in advance and keep up the great work...
