I believe I'm the "other user"; I'd just like to mention that I've seen
the same problem in various versions of 3.1, including the final 3.1
release, in Windows 98 as well as 95, and on a Voodoo Rush as well as a
Voodoo 1.
At least with the 3.1 final build, the processor present in the PC
doesn't seem to make any difference, and the settings of the V2OPT and
NASM lines in makefile.fx also don't seem to have any effect on the
problem.
Essentially, it seems that Voodoo Graphics (as opposed to Voodoo 2 or
later) based hardware in PCs under Windows is always subject to this
problem with at least the 3.1 and 3.2 versions of Mesa.
Is there anything that me or Eero could do to help people track down
this problem more precisely?
Thanks,
Neal Tringham (VX)
