I'm guessing that this approach may cause some headaches if we somehow use both OpenGL ES and OpenGL (via separate threads, , process A spawning process B or otherwise). For example steam game foo uses OpenGL ES, and one tries to access the Chromium based browser (cef) via the Overlay. The latter of which using API_OPENGL_CORE iirc. It's your call either way.
